Bosch Automotive Steering in Schwäbisch Gmünd, ongoing

The new structures are integrated into the valley as an organically flowing formation and create a transition to the rationally structured factory site. Their glass facades were designed with perforated white vertical slats that act as filters to the surrounding space. The semi-transparent facades create a unique lighting atmosphere in the rooms. The generously glazed lounge areas open outward, taking in the natural environment and creating a distinctly different, new working environment.

The property is situated in scenic surroundings at the end of the Schießtal valley, north of Schwäbisch Gmünd. The site is crossed by two streams and enclosed by forested hills.

The overall project is divided into three parts: the extension of the company headquarters, the construction of a reception building and a multi-storey car park. The convexly curved facades of the reception building and the company headquarters create an efficient space formation with minimised enveloping surfaces.
