Company Daycare Center for Steelcase in Rosenheim

The organically curved daycare center represents an alternative world to the more sober purposeful architecture of its surroundings: a free-flowing, single-story building that lies in the meadow like a solitary gem. The organic formal vocabulary is also repeated within the interior spaces, which are shaped by offset, curved wood-clad walls.

These give the children protection and security on one side and they open up on other side to a shared internal space. The generous spaces between the curved elements afford many visual connections to the outside.
