New building on Oberamteistraße opened

After the keys were handed over at City Hall, visitors lined up on January 31, 2026, to view the new building of the Historical Oberamteistraße Museum. Among them was Mayor Thomas Keck, who said that the city of Reutlingen was gaining “a new building that not only impresses with its exterior appearance, but also touches the heart with its clarity, openness, and beauty.” The building, covered with cast-glass "beaver-tail“ tiles, supports the adjacent row of houses, which were in danger of collapsing. It offers space for various event formats, encounters, creativity, and exchange.
