Parking Garage New Trade Fair in Stuttgart

As an extension of the trade fair's central park, the striking steel structure of the parking garage, visible from afar, stretches as a wide-span truss (span: 93 metres) like a bridge over the highway and the planned ICE high-speed train line. The six-storey car park offers 4271 parking spaces. With its green roof surfaces, the parking garage is integrated into the landscape.

The design approach for the new trade fair is determined by minimum land use, short distances and an innovative appearance with distinctive characteristics. The design follows not only functional requirements, but also higher-level criteria pertaining to the landscape and the perception of space. With their draped roof forms and generously glazed facades, the exhibition halls strengthen the relationship to the surrounding landscape and enhance the desired distinctiveness.
