Sparkassen Quartier in Heilbronn

The design for the new Sparkassen Quartier aims to weave the two existing locations in Heilbronn's city center into a cohesive ensemble through harmonious routing and a common architectural language, creating a space that feels like part of the urban quarter. This is reflected in the moderate building heights at the edges of the block and the relocation of the highest points to the interior of the block.

The indented structures respect the existing buildings and yet help to give the new ensemble a high degree of visibility. Each component is assigned a specific role. Flowing pathways connect the urban quarter and divide the lush green areas into versatile spaces. Intensively designed courtyards, versatile roof gardens, and meeting spaces bring sustainability, recreation, and urban life into harmony. The office spaces feature an open, modular room concept that allows for all types of office layouts. The stringent modular concept, which also applies to the wooden supporting structure, forms the basis for maximum flexibility in the interior and at the same time creates the economic foundation for planning, construction, and operation.
